(Note: Rakta is Hidden Nirvana's programmer, so if there is a muck program you really, really want you may suggest it here. If we think it's a good idea, we'll add it to the list.) This is roughly in priority from most to least important: watchforwhere* speciespage* unidle or nothing* @bootmestatus* props for @locks* different colors for exits you can't usemailchannels* @altlist@request* guests* lastonmotdnewsmeetdifferent look* @poseorder* wizzes @pastepinfo* @whospecies* globalscensus@group@familyflyage timemapcolored loginNo paranthesis on spoof calls Notification suggesting @bootme if you're logged in more than once suggested weather * Though these programs are likely to be provided before MUCK opening or a little after, they may be replaced with versions written from scratch by Rakta later on. If you want any of these programs, contact him and he'll see about providing them. He licenses his programs under the GNU General Public License, which you may read here: www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.html

Can I suggest/request a smell program (and scent prop to set in editplayer)?

Hmm, I consider a smell program to be a shiny; something that is nice, but wouldn't really add much to the game - mostly because it would probably only get limited usage. Therefore I'll stick it as a question mark at the bottom with the other shinies to consider when we've got the important stuff in.

HEY. The weather shouldn't be a shiny. I think the weather is pretty nice, and is very useful. Plus, if you can get it to randomize good enough, having it pop up upon logging in would make it forcefully used all the time. That, or a season thing should be kind of required, I think. To help people along and not be asking 'hurp durp what time of year is it' 'lol idk' or something like that. OR.. if you're not going to have that on the MUCK, you should have some kind of alert thing on the forum at the very least.

Oh, I'm pretty sure that the weather is a shiny. At least compared to the stuff that is above it on the list. The stuff above is stuff that I can't really imagine doing without. Though I should say that the weather is a shiny that I'm pretty certain that we're going to be getting. As for seasons - take a look at where it says "time" just after age and before map. That's what it means.

Maybe the to-do list should get re-ordered to put the important stuff first. I mean, different color codes for exits you can't use is a shiny compared with a mail system, isn't it?

Oh, you'll want the colors for the exits. Trust me on that one!

I agree I will eventually, but not before things like mail, guests, char @req etc. Might consider making at least some of the inaccessible exits not visible to those who can't use them when it gets around to that.

Well, that's a matter of not having one of my own pet peeves on my own muck.

Shiny suggestion: A notification if you are logged on more than once and suggest a user use @bootme to clear old connections.

Shiny tweak: Could spoof be adjusted to not add parenthesis around text that is spoofed? Its a bit more work to edit them out when editing a log for posting.

Shiny tweak to Newbie channel: Any way that a message could get broadcast on Newbie so everyone on the Newbie channel gets a notice when a guest connects, so that even if there isn't a wizard online or active at the keyboard, players can greet guests without having to get lucky happening to run a WHO right after a guest connects to notice them online? Just something like 'Newbie > Guest1 has connected.'
