I know Ava and a lot of other "talking animal" roleplayers roll their eyes at the furry fandom, but I don't. I don't have a fur suit or anything, but I do think there's a place for those of us who enjoy indulging fantasies of casting off our human skin and bipedalism and try to see, hear, feel, taste, smell, and think what the world (or another world, anyway) would be like if experienced through a non-human's eyes and fur/feathers/scales/whatever. Anyhoo, the 'furry fandom' is not one big huge unified mob. Yeah, there's a lot of wussy insta-hugginess among furs, but there are a wide variety of tastes and cultural elements. The drawn artwork and fur suits are probably what the furry fandom are most known for, but there are also furry musicians and even a number of increasingly talented animators and movie makers. Its probably to silly/wussy for many, but thinking of HN, one of the probably most well-known furry musicians who dubs himself "Chama C. Fox" created (wrote, composed and performed) a piece in 1997 ago themed to tigers. Its available legally for free at www.chama.se/music/Chama_Stripes.mp3I figured at least a couple tiger fans who find their way to HN might enjoy it.
